We have Limewire....what other free music downloads are good? Thanks! Sandra

?? I think Limewire is software, not a site... it permits peer-to-peer file sharing, which means watch out for corrupted files and viruses. I'm scared of it because of this. Most of my 20-something students use it, though, and they seem happy.

We've had no trouble with limewire, and have used it for a few years now. Just make sure when you are done downloading that you "exit" out of it completely, not just "x" out, otherwise it still runs in the background.

You can also "rip" all the cd's you currently own onto your computer and then onto your mp3 player, sell them at "Beat Goes On" and use your credit to buy more cd's to rip.

Have fun!

If you have a decent anti virus program running on your system you will have no issues at all. I love using Limewire it is great and you can even filter the connection speeds you want to connect to.

I use Limewire too. Had major issues with Kazaa a couple years back, but Limewire's doing well.
