I'm wanting to open an ebay account but how do I build up feedback :confused3 ? Am I understanding things correctly that you don't get feedback for buying items anymore and only selling? How is someone supposed to build up a positive feedback rating this way! Thanks in advance

You still get feedback for buying items - in fact, you can get ONLY positive feedback (that was the change - sellers can't leave neutral or negative feedback for buyers anymore). Of course, the seller could choose NOT to leave feedback also (rather than leave a positive that isn't warranted).

So, open that account and start buying (or selling)!

Thanks so much for explaining that!

I saw a recommendation once to buy coupons off ebay as a way to build feedback quickly and cheaply.

Can you still write what you want in the feedback, to alert other Sellers if the buyer is a NPB? Like, "Yes, I am positive this buyer is a NPB."

I don't think so - I suppose you could try, but my guess is that the feedback would be removed. I wouldn't want to add a (+) sign to the buyer, even if my words were negative. I don't even bother to look at buyer's feedback anymore because I don't think it really represents if they are a good buyer or not. I do have my preferences set up to block buyers with multiple unpaid item strikes though.
