OT- new camera?

Here's the thing. I just found a bunch of giftcards and was thinking about buying a new digital camera. DH has a digital now, I have a 35 mm. We just were at Disney 2 weeks ago with the stepkids. I took about 4 rolls of pics, he took about 75 pics. Before we left I had to dig for my camera because I have not used it in over a year. I am heading to Disney again in September for a trip with my sister. I am planning on taking a camera along and while I want to take mine because it is much clearer than DHs, I will probably take his because I have not had good luck with film and airport screening. My cousin is trying to convince me to go ahead and use the gift cards for a new camera, not for the Disney trip but because when I get home, DH and I are going to be working on a baby. My cousin is convinced that even though I take practically no pictures now, I will take pictures all the time when I have a baby. As this would be my first child, I have no idea if she is right or not. So help me out. Does it make sense for me to use my gift cards to buy a new digital camera, in time for the Disney trip or should I use the gift cards for other stuff and just stick with the cameras we have?

I got a new camera just this past christmas, and a seperate zoom lens for our anniversary. I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA!!!! I didn't take lot of pictures before we had kids (DH actually took more). I now have 2 kids and needless to say I now take a ton of pictures!
I got the Canon Rebel XTi and recommend it to everyone I know!!! (My sister even got one for her birthday ) It's a digital that can be used by novices like me but you can go more advanced too. There is NO SHUTTER LAG!!! So when you push the button there's no waiting to take the picture like most digitals. It's bigger than most cameras and with the extra zoom lens my camera bag is going to be pretty big, but I can't wait to take pics. at WDW!! Hope this helps!!
