OT - Need original baby boy name...

My youngest is named Griffin and we get a lot of compliments on his name. It's not toooo unusual but there aren't a ton of Griffin's out there, either (there is one other Griffin at his school). We call him Finn for short.

My ds's name is Bennett. We've only ever heard of one other Bennett. We really liked the name Ben but didn't want a Benjamin so we went with Bennett.

If Emery had been a boy, she would have been Bennett. I LOVE that name

Carter and Jackson are my other favorite boy names. And my DS is Davis, which you don't hear very often

I don't know if these are repeats as there were alot of pages in this thread. Anywho, DS6 has 3 best buds named Mason, Barrett, & Trace. I personally like Axle, Chase, Dash , Hayden, & Jackson for little boys. In fact if my 2mo had been a boy it would have been Jackson as it's also my mom's maiden name. BTW her full name is McKinley Dylan Trace (yes, Trace for a girl)

If you're looking to a Disney route, Elias is nice and not as obvious (or old man-ish) as Walt or Walter.

DD is Sarah Miriam after her 2 living great grandmothers. If she were a boy it would have been William Elias (called Will) after the grandfathers. I totally didn't think of the walt's middle name connection as it is my FIL's middle name. Sarah is supposed to be hugely popular but in 6 years of daycare andf school we have only had one other in her class and it was spelled Sara.

I think you'd have to go with Robert - most grown men drop the ends in Y nicknames.

I was thinking of doing this too- I think it's a lovely tribute. My mom's maiden name is Martin, but our last name is Short soo....we think one Martin Short in the world is enough...that and my dad and mother-in-law have such big Massachusetts accents we couldn't bear to hear them calling him MAHHHTY or even MAHtin.
If we do have another I would definitely consider it for a middle name though.

When we were pregnant w/our DS9, we had a list, I loved Jackson, Weston, Grayson all of which were overruled by DH. Quinton was his grandfather, a very sweet and dear man, and we had that on the list. What we went for was Spencer. I've seen it a couple of times on here. Love it. There's only one other at his school of 500+ kids. Ryan I loved, but there are two in his class and several others in his grade. Braden, Hunter, Jacob, Evan are all great names but really popular around here. At one point there were 5 Jacobs on our block, several have moved and now there are only 2. Good luck and Congrats!
