OT - Need original baby boy name...

I met a newborn named Silas yesterday and loved the name.

I have a Devin. We were going for something different since I grew up with a very common name. When we lived up north we never ran acrossed another Devin...when we moved down south four years ago Devin ended up in a grade with two Devins. At my dd's elementary school there are four of them this year.

I have always loved the name Dane but I couldn't talk my dh into it.

Our other picks when we named Devin were Owen and Gavin do you see the trend...LOL!!

Good luck on the baby name hunt.

Haven't gone through the long list so sorry if I have repeats.

Tyson
Chason
Joaquin

Oh by the way Tyson is my DH's name, Chason is my #2DD's BF, and Joaquin is a name I have liked for a long time. Also my #1DD's son's name is Tristen Aiden. She loved both names but went with this match. Tristen can be done a couple ways Tristen, Trystan, Tristan.

These are all my neighbors and I love all their names!

I work with an Elias, I always liked that name. I saw a young surfer named Strider on a web site. My cousin's have boys named Beckett, Mason , Spencer, and Gavin.

There's also Laird. Like Larid Hamilton .

Oh, and other cousin names Dresden, because he was conceived in Dresden Germany, and Tanner.

DD used to play with a young man named Landon when she was in pre school.

My son Soren (btw, thanks to all who like his name:yay:) has a pal named Elias at church. They're both 6.5 now but met 2 years ago, and one of the first things Soren said to him was "You have Walt Disney's middle name!"

I love my Disney loving kid. :rotfl:

I like Eamon and Everett as well as Merrick. I also had friends just use Lawson.

Head's up... Landon is my son's name and it is becoming increasingly popular. In fact, we were at his 2 week check up and there were 3 kids in the waiting room. ALL 3 WERE NAMED LANDON!!! Since then, just about every place we go with several children, there is ALWAYS another Landon. So, I don't advise it if you are looking for an original name. We thought that we were using an uncommon name when we named him that... boy were we wrong!

Oh and I like Dexter (call him Dex), Kendall (it is actually a little boys name, little girls seem to have taken it over) & Alston

My nephew is Davin which I love and really never hear.

To the person that commented on Jaxson with the nickname Jax - my son is Jackson (named after his grandfather Jack) and his nickname is Jax. I just met a woman at the coffee shop the other day whose grandson is John but his nickname is Jax as well. I thought it was unusual but seems to be gaining in some popularity. :confused3

my bos r morgan and lucas which are considered unusual here

i do know a boy called fallon
