OK, I am at my wits end and I need help!
We live in a small town (pop. 315) which has no stop lights and no law enforcement (other than county which is of no help for this issue.
) The school is K-12. It is a good school and I am a graduate from here.
Here's my problem. I have complained many times about the in-town elementary students safety and was told that I need to come up with ideas and they will apply for a grant. They may just be trying to shut me up, but I'm gonna try anyway.
Even though it is a small town, there is a HUGE amount of vehicle traffic before and after school. After school there are 6th graders as crossing guards but they are not very good.
How do your kids get to and from school? Do you have special procedures for drivers dropping off kids? Do you have adult crossing guards? Do you have in-town buses? What does your school do? Any ideas???
THANKS SO MUCH!!!
