First let me say that I am creatively challenged and appreciate any and all suggestions. Second, let me tell you that I don't even own a glue gun.

DD5's kindegarten class is working on a prayer cloth project. Each family gets a 16"x18" block of a white bedsheet. Each student takes the entire sheet home for 1 week then brings it in to pass on to the next family. So far about 7 or 8 families have already done their squares and let me tell you I am impressed. And very far out of my league.

I am thinking about using a bible verse and then gluing or tracing a picture to represent the verses. Since I have no talent at all I need something easy that won't look like my 5 year old did the project (yeah I know, these school projects SHOULD be done by the kids but this one does not even have the pretense of being done by the kids. They call it a "family project". Yeah, right! I'm on my own with this one)

I do have 2 ideas. I just don't know how to bring them to life and I am so stressed.
Option 1
"Look upon the rainbow and praise him that made it."
AND/OR
"The heavens tell of the glory of God. The skies display his marvelous craftsmanship."

Option 2
The other option I am thinking about is using a verse that ties in with the theme for Catholic School's Week. The theme is "Pays Dividends for Life" and I was thinking about this verse:
"Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it"

With this verse I was thinking I could show a picture of a house, a school and a church - you know playing off the "it takes a village to raise a child" idea.

Question - what options do I have for printing the verse onto my square? My handwriting is awful. Stencils? Do I use markers, paints??

Thoughts on how I can create some kind of scene for either of these options? I can't paint, draw or sew.

Pleaes take pity on me and send me your suggestions on how I could bring either of my ideas together without making a mess out of the whole prayer blanket. I am completely stressed out. Oh yea...due on Monday.:rolleyes1

Will the cloth ever be washed?
If not you could print the Bible verse out and glue it on or (if it is stll sold) you can get the fabric sheets that you can print on and then adhere them to the cloth.

I like option #2. You could cut your shapes out of felt, which is a good for you since you don't sew and felt doesn't ravel. It could adhere all your fabric pieces with Wonder Under or another type of iron on adhersive as they are less messy than gluing.
