This isn't exactly budget, but this is the board where I hang out most and I know someone here will point me in the right direction.

Some of you may remember that a couple of months ago I posted that my husband had kidney cancer and would be having surgery. The surgery went well and he is recovering nicely. :cloud9:

A week or so ago my husband received a survey from the Marines about his health. One of the first questions was had he been diagnosed with any kind of cancer.

Then today I read in the online that there is a documentary called Semper Fi: Always Faithful about the toxic water at Camp LeJeune. My husband was at Camp LeJeune for some of the time period in question.

We're trying to find out where the documentary is playing - and I need your help! Is it only in California? I can't find it anywhere online, and there's a Facebook page but we don't Facebook. We live in the Atlanta area but would consider traveling to see it.

Thanks for your help!

Looks like it is only showing in LA at the moment. Here is the link to the website for the movie. You should be able to get more information there and possibly contact the filmakers.

Good luck to you and your husband!

Just an FYI, there is also a website dedicated to those of us that were at Lejeune in the 80's and have had health problems.

The Few, The Proud, The Forgotten.

I'm glad your husband has recovered from his surgery and hope things continue to go well.

Here is their website, with the listing of screenings...

Thanks to both of you. I will bookmark that site. And thanks for your good wishes; we were blindsided by the diagnosis but are positive going forward.

Thanks Chelley, I will show this to my husband. He's a pretty private person but may have to come out of his comfort zone for something this important.

I hope you haven't been too severely impacted yourself and I hope you are doing well.
