My darling DD spilled pink nail polish on her white polka dotted dress. It is a rayon/polyester blend. How can I take it off? I did put nail polish remover on the dress, needless to say the polish is still there.

Any advice?

Here's a couple of links that may be of help. I have also heard that windex and Off Skintastic work. I have never had to deal with this personally, so I can't tell you the best method. Good luck.

This is what I would do (but have never done). First try working from the back. Hold several layers of paper towels against the stain on the front and apply a cotton ball soaked with polish remover or pure acetone if you can get it. Change the paper towels and cotton ball as soon as they start to turn color. Even if you get all of the polish off you may be left with a stain from the dye. I would wash the dress before trying to get the dye stain out with anything else.

You might want to call a dry cleaner and see what they recommend.

Good luck.

If you know anyone who uses Melaleuca products, I would try Sol-u-Mel. You might even be able to get some on ebay.
