We're thinking about going to Myrtle for Spring Break. We went two years ago and stayed at the Monterrey Bay Suites. We hated it. It was one of the worst hotels we have ever seen.

I would love some suggestions for hotels or condos. We're a family of 5 so space is always a good thing.
Also, would love to stay closer to North Myrtle. Thanks!

We always stay in a condo in North myrtle. It's much more quiet and family oriented. We stay in the windy hill area at nautical watch. They are all a bit different and the pool is small and in the parking lot. I am a beach gal so I usually don't even go in it.

Have a great time!

We rent condos from condo-world.com. Lots in North Myrtle for decent prices on the beach.

Long Bay resort was also rally nice.

We like the Caribbean Resort Hotel. Its really condos and you can get up to 4 bedrooms. Very nice. If you want more North Myrtle, we like Beach Cove. It too is a condo style place. We have had up to three bedrooms there but they might have four. Lots of clean, fun pools and right on the beach. We are about 4 hours away and go often so feel free to ask any other questions you think of.

Kingston Plantation. There are condos, villas, an Embassy Suites and a Hilton. Very good location.

I have a couple of questions. Is Myrtle Beach crazy with teens during Spring Break? That's the reason I wanted to stay on the North side. Also, when they say the pools are heated we will be able to use them at the end of March? Thanks!

We stay at Prince Resort at Cherry Grove pier in North Myrtle. Huge nice condos at the best prices we have found. Great location and 15 minutes from Calabash for the best seafood! You won't be disappointed!

Myrtle Beach has a short strip area that consist of a board walk, an arcade and a few less that desirable gift shops. There are a few other tourist type things there like a Ripley's and a really huge Sky Wheel. That area has some of the older less desirable hotels. We tend to avoid that area except to sometimes do the sky wheel. You however only have to go a few blocks and you find some nicer resort hotels. There is so much more to Myrtle Beach that that small area. There is Broadway by the Beach which is like DTD and filled with restaurants, specialty shops and entertainment like an aquarium and Magic Quest and Wonder Works and Putt Putt and many more. There is another area in North Myrtle called Barefoot Landing that is similar. There are dinner shows and theaters. We like the Pirate's adventure the best. There are putt putts and malls and a couple huge outlet malls. There is a theme park call Family Kingdom and a couple water parks. South of Myrtle there is a place call Brook Green Gardens. A BEAUTIFUL place that is combination of gardens, a zoo, a boat tour etc. There are all types of ocean tours to sight see or fish. The area is not huge and you are within driving distance of most things where ever you stay.

We love Dunes Village Resort. There's a little waterpark inside the hotel and it's on the beach - meaning no need to worry about getting sand in the car. There is plenty of room too - with most rooms being like little condo's with 1 or more bedrooms and full kitchens. We're a family of 5 and there was plenty of room in the one bedroom, since the bedroom is separate so it was like having two sleeping rooms including the living room. We got a two bedroom when my mother came along as well and it was huge.

I wouldn't mind staying in the main MB area but I was worried it would be crazy during Spring Break. Any hotel recommendations?
