I don't think argue is the right term!! 'Fight to Death' more sums it up!!
I saw a gorgeous one at the garden centre a while ago.... All blue, but with a bright blue and red stripe down one side. Really unusual looking....

Males and Females don't fight to the death, only males and other males. Technically, males and males don't fight to the death either; the losing one retreats a safe distance. The problem is, the length of a fish tank is much smaller than "a safe distance".
Males and Females are all over each other when they want to breed. The problem is, the males get cranky when they don't want to breed and pick at the females.

Freshwater tank (2ft long):
3 Neon Tetras
2 Rummy nose tetras
4 golden tetras
4 black neon tetras
1 male cockatoo cichlid
1 male siamese fighter
Marine tank (3ft long):
1 black/white clownfish
1 saffron goby
1 chalk goby
1 coral banded shrimp
also in the marine tank living on the rock:
1 starfish
1 crab
2 snails
lots of worms
