Coming up the walk this afternoon I saw a red American Legion Poppy on the lawn.
As a kid my Grandmother and Great Aunt Jo, would spend hours assembling the poppies. I can remember going to Grandmas as a kid and helping put them together. Sitting next to her with the top of the box in my lap and the bottom on the floor we would take the stem put a little Elmers glue on the bottom of the little green ball with a toothpick, then take a flag and fold it with the gluey toothpick, now drop it in the box on the floor. Sitting, making flowers and talking to my Grandma.
Grandma passed ten years ago at the end of May. I think she was just saying Hi.
So thats my Hi moment, anyone else?
