OT: Minor Pet Peeve

When I post a reply to a message, I know what I've said. Chance are, not one else has said anything on the topic during that time. Why do I get taken to the message instead of back to the forum's main list?

Software engineers are just narcissistic by nature. When you write a nice piece of code, you just naturally want to sit back and admire it. Same with e-mail and blog postings. Naturally, you would just want to be taken back to the message so that you can admire it. That's why there is a Preview Post button, too. It's just good design.
