I'm trying to find a Wilton Minnie Mouse Cake Pan for my DD's birthday coming up in a few weeks. I can't find it anywhere...Michael's/ACMoore, Amazon, Craig's list, disneyshopping.com; Wilton website says it's no longer available. I did bid on two on ebay, but was outbid--they sold for $35-45 plus shipping--I guess I think that's a lot. Any other suggestions of where I can find this? Thanks!

I had a minnie mouse party for my DD2, I looked at those pans and I have to agree they got expensive. I just took one big round pan and a small round pan and put them together to make a mouse head. My DD knew right away who it was. Just thought I would through thta suggestion to you.

Thank you GoofyG. I was hoping to make two cakes...one Wilton Minnie in vanilla (I'm taking a case decorating class, so am excited to do all of the details) and then a chocolate Minnie Mouse head with 3 circles. Did you add a bow or anything to make it look like Minnie (vs Mickey)? Did you just use one color icing for the whole cake, or did you add facial features? If I can't find the Wilton pan for a reasonable price, I might just do a 9x13 vanilla cake and add a Minnie figurine and some pretty colors of icing.

Try calling some bakeries around town. I know some of them rent pans. The other option is to get a mickey pan and add a bow. You can get the minnie instructions on the wilton website and change mickey to minnie.

Good Luck. I do decorate cakes and completely enjoy it.

Exactly what I was going to recommend.

Our party supply store also has pans for rent....just another place to check.

Maybe you can try Freecycle. It is a group through Yahoo where you can give away things and ask for things in return and it is all free. You never know who might have a Minnie pan laying around that they no longer use and would be willing to part with. Good luck in your search.

Instead of a cake shaped like minnie you could make a regular cake and then use a buttercream transfer for the decoration. I used a picture from my son's coloring book to make a Mickey buttercream trf. Mickey was holding ballons and a present. My son loved it.
