The weather pattern is starting up again tonight. Our weatherman is saying freezing rain that will produce 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice followed by 3-8" of snow! I'm sick of this! I'm supposed to start track practice in a week. Looks like it will be speed skating practice instead.

I hear ya. We're supposed to only get rain out of that storm, but we have been helping my parents build their dream home this winter (a log home on a ridge with a 300 to 350 cliff right in front of the house) and the building permit was not signed off until November (applied last spring). Best time of the year to work efficiently, I think. Shovel the area clear all morning, drag out all the tools, work in the cold for a few hours, drag everything back through the slush/ice and start all over again the next time.

Oh well, spring is coming soon, and we'll be cursing the black flies and mosquitoes before you know it.:rotfl:

we have rain coming down now. on top of all the snow we just got. we are also suppose to get up to a foot of snow again today on top of that

It was pretty treacherous on the way to work this AM. It was 33 degrees and raining pretty hard. Its been very cold lately and even though its above freezing everything is pretty chilled including the roads.

we just went out to do a home visit for a dog i am fostering. yup, we slid down a hill on the road just outside their subdivision. :drive:

all ice and no stopping us. we finally landed and called the people and they brought out some sand. we used it like pixie dust pixiedust:

we were able to get to their house. took off in about a 1/2 hour for the drive home. we were definitely clenching the hands on the way back home.

the main highways weren't bad. but, the back roads were solid ice.

it is 32 degrees right now and we are expecting snow/sleet up to 1-2". but, on the good side they say the ice accumulation is only going to be 1/4"... whatever... give me snow not ice...:headache:
