OT: Little Ones say the sweetest things

These are too cute! Thanks for sharing, all.

"well, you won't get in the cage and I really want to keep you!"

:rotfl: where do they come up with this stuff?

As we are walking on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom, my then 4 year old looked up at me and said "now all my dreams are comming true" I cried.

Well, I hope I don't get any flames for this one, but I couldn't help but be amused. My old boss' rotwieler had died the week before, and her DD4 was very upset as they were very, very attached. She kept asking why Rocky (the dog) had to leave and she told her that he was in heaven with Jesus. So a few days later, they were driving home from somewhere and passed their church. My boss said, Look, that's where we talk to Jesus! (or something to that effect), and her DDlooks right at her and says, I hate Jesus!! As that was the last thing she expected out of her DD's mouth, she asked her why she hated Jesus. Well, it turns out she thought Jesus didn't like her and that's why he took Rocky away from them. Mom had to clarify a little bit as she tried not to laugh at the thought process this little girl had gone though to get to that conclusion.

Another "where do they get that from?" - my sister and her DD and I were over at my parent's house over Christmas. My neice is 5 going on 25, and is a very inquisitive little girl. She's become very interested in phones since she learned her phone number, and wanted to call it from the house. Her step-dad (Dan) had stayed at home, so she dialed and he picked up. She pretended to be a chinese restaurant and then hung up on him. LOL I don't know where she learned to prank call, but my sister, dad and I all looked at each other and just had to laugh.

I picked my DS 3 up after a particularly long and tiring day of work. I get him in his car seat get into my seat up front and said "Trey...I'm pooped!" He responded by saying "Then change your diaper, Mommy!"

We were watching History Channel one day and they were talking about the Roman god Zeus (or was he Greek? I dunno....) and they said that there's theories that his image has morphed into the image of Jesus. DS turns to me on the couch and says "Mommy...Jesus loves you. Daddy....Jesus loves you too!" Awwww..............

Before our first trip to Disney World in 2005, my then 5yr old DD was sitting on the edge of the bed kicking her feet looking very worried. My Grandma asked her why she wasn't happy,(we were about to leave for the airport). My DD says "I don't think I can do it." Grandma asked do what? "Fly the Airplane" DD said. I can just see it my 5 yr old thinking she had to fly the plane.:scared1: :rotfl:
This very same trip we were walking down main street and DD looked up at me and said "This is my best life ever ! "
On our second in 2007, We were at the GF in a shop, and DD wanted something, but she had spent all her money for the day. So she was upset and she walked away w/ my mother and said "That woman is gonna make me go on Fire." my mom was laughing so hard she had to leave the shop.:rotfl2:

Mine are sooo funny sometimes, especially when they're all together.

Last week I was asking Hannah what she wanted to be when she grew up. Jonah (6) pipes in "I wanna be a doughnut when I grow up" Hannah says "Jonah, you can't be a doughnut, we eat doughnuts!" Jonah replies "I'm gonna be the doughnut guy maker then"

He's really funny. He has special needs and writes his J's backwards. He's working with Handwriting without Tears now. Last week I went into his room and there were backwards capital J's in crayon all over his wall. I asked him who did it he replied "Allie!" I explained to him that she was 3 and not tall enough to reach where the J's were written. He said "Oh it wad (yes he said wad) Allie's idea, she told me too. She stinkied in her pants and didn't want to be the only one being bad." ROFLMAO. And the worst part is it probably WAS her idea.

My Aunt died in August and my kids were very close to her. Allie (3) was at home with me when it happened. Last week my sister brought over her new boyfriend and the kids were running around, playing. Allie stops right in her tracks and looks at this boy and announces loudly "My parents DIED"
She looked so honest... I felt bad for him

At the time, my 11 yo DD (named Devan) bought her best friend those pins you put in Crocs...she bought the ones that said "best" and "friend". When she wanted to give them to her friend, we could not find them ANYWHERE. Just gone. One day, my then 5 yo DD said, "Mommy, I know where those pins are", and she pulled them out of her dresser drawer. When I asked her why she put them there, she said, "Because I want to be Devan's best friend!" I just love how much she adores her older sister, but boy I know it won't last forever!!!:lovestruc
