Shes gorgeous Elaine - she looks really soft and cuddly.

Ive not been able to post on here for ages - my laptop died on me at the New Year and Ive just got it back yesterday. I really missed it so glad to have it back.

Thank you :) I think she's gorgeous too but of course I'm a little bit biased! :rotfl2:

Good to see you back :goodvibes you must have been lost without your laptop.

She is so fluffy, Elaine. Is she good?

Morning all,

Just thought I would share a bit of news in that i'm going to be working at the Olympics with my ambulance service as a secondment to London Ambulance service. I'm really excited. I have some training to next week & then I have 3 weeks in London. Plus they have rostered me off for the day I have tickets to the hockey.

The only downside is that some of the shifts will be starting at 4am:scared1:

Hi Nikki, your house is gorgeous, best wishes for the future. And its great that you'll be in London for all the buzz and excitement of the Olympics (hope ye arent too rushed off your feet).

That is an adorable puppy Elaine! She looks like she loves her comfort! We had a new addition too, a little Pom called Maxie. Hes a snuggler (although we disagree on his thinking he should lie on my bed but he'd getting a lot better behaved). Is Shanti house trained already?

That's really exciting, Nikki :yay: I wouldn't be so keen on the 4am starts either but at least it will be summer and hopefully not as hard to get up as in the winter.

Ooh congratulations on Maxie! Photos please!! :goodvibes

Shanti is doing really well with her house training :thumbsup2 I think it makes a huge difference that I have 2 other dogs to learn from.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to wish good luck to anyone waiting for their DD/DS secondary school admission place. We got DD's email this morning before school, she got her first choice yippee and thank goodness :goodvibes:goodvibes.

Hi, hope no one minds me having a nosey in here:)

I have to wait till May 2nd to find out if my DS (for primary School) Gets his first choice. Fingers crossed he does, I went to the same school as a child with my Brother and Sister.

Awww, I really hope he does get a place there - is it your closest school?

My DD now going to the Primary that I and my two brothers went to. It's very strange going back there with her, it all seems so tiny! But I have so many happy memories from that school and I love to think that she will too!

I'm keeping everything crossed that you get the place you want! :goodvibes

Of course not, everyone is welcome to post here. :goodvibes Hope your DS gets his first choice too - my DDs all went to the same primary school as my sister and I did ..... and now I've ended up working there! :rotfl:

Got an email last week saying my shareholder club's membership has renewed, no resending anything for me!

Just hope card comes in time for my late-april trip, pleased to see a raft of new pins for the new celebration announced today : )

Good news Elaine about your daughters school place. We were waiting this time last year.

thanks everyone, I wasn't looking forward to handling DD's disappointment if she didn't get her first choice!

Thank you:) well its just about the nearest to me, My first and 2nd choice in dif directions probably take the same walking time to get to them. I wouldnt mind if we had to have 2nd choice! But i would love him to be in the school i went to! Like you, i have so many good memories in that school! I loved it, and i think DS would too! Yeah i bet its strange walking around the school so many years later:)

fingers crossed for your DS ShimmerTinks :wizard:.

Thank you!!:)

I actually get emotional now and again when i think how in Sept my little baby..... will be going to "Big School" - Where does the time go?!
I dont know how im going to be on the day waving him off! :wave2::sad1:

...as you know we really uhmmmed and ahhhhed over booking for the summer as funds were tight, but decided if we really saved we could do it and were so excited to book it!

Well, today I got a contract to mark exam papers - which will prettty much pay for all of our spends and half of our meal money! It has REALLY taken the stress off and means we can relax slightly, but also means that we will have a really FANTASTIC holiday!:banana:

Sorry for the random post - just very excited! My DD asks everyday if we are going back to Disneyland and is telling everyone she is going back when she is bigger! Love that she is so excited about it, and the magic in her eyes when she mentions it is amazing! :lovestruc So worth the hours of exam marking!

xxx

Oh, that's good news :thumbsup2

Honestly, I can never really afford our Disney holidays, but it always sorts itself out. The memories we've made over the years are still spoken about, and you never get the time back again with your lo's. So the extra hours and sleepness nights of how to pay for it all are actually totally worth it :cloud9:

:rotfl: mrs poppins I'm the same - once we've booked to go back to DLP I'm usually rooting through my house seeing what I can put on ebay :rotfl::rotfl:. I get rid of loads of stuff we no longer want, and I get to go back to my Happy Place!

I agree with all of you.

We don't have loads of spare money to just dip into when a good deal comes up. I ummed and ahhed over the DLRP trip we just booked for a while and almost booked back in January to go in March for our anniversary.

I held out as I knew Dreams was coming and really wanted to see it. So when the 40% off came out and was valid over my birthday date (& I could get £69 Eurostar) I jumped at the chance.

Also I had about £300 in my PayPal account from bits I've sold on eBay so the actual money I had to part with wasn't much at all.

I wish wish wish we were back at DLH but it was £1300 more! I'll be sad walking under it every day, but not £1300 worth of sad!

I know the trip won't compare to DLH or the WDW hotels and it'll be a bit less fancy than we're used to. But it was a case of go or not go, and fingers crossed the weather will be OK and now that EoS is there ill be quite glad I have to walk past it every day! :rotfl:
