I swear Take That just mimed on the Brits.
I start my training for the ambulance service on Monday & I really don't want to. My parents are getting on my nerves. I only applied for the job to get them off my back, I wrote a really bad application but I still got an interview. My mum has been having a go at me for being in a bad mood etc. When I try to explain they won't listen.
It has taken 18 months to get this far with the job, it has been poor from the start.
The annoying thing is I went to college & uni but this job is not using any of those qualifications. I feel I wasted 4 years & got into student debt for nothing![]()
Oh dear Bob, that wasn't very constructive of your mumfor you, your plans sound amazing so far!
Tricky one Nikki, if your hearts not in it, will you enjoy it?
Don't you love parents!
I've been not doing uni work and making montages of Lotties photos at DLRP!
Nikki
I know one thing you can't choose your family! I really don't think I will enjoy it. I will have an 80 mile round trip just to go to & from work which will include shifts as I have not been posted near my home, I can't afford to move out just yet. If only I can win a little bit of money on the lottery I would follow my dream then![]()
OK, I am officially jealous of all these stunning wedding reception locations, I want to get married all over again!! Oh well, maybe I can do a vow renewal at WDW for our 25th anniversary (only 15 more years to go!!) We seem to celebrate our anniversaries every 5 years on a Disney property as it is!! I did see Robbie Williams on my wedding day though, he was staying in the hotel we had our reception in and he wished us good luck!
Bob, I'm sure people who matter will turn up and you will have a fab day.
DH is having a really tough time at work at the moment and he has some major meetings to go to on Friday so cant come with me to my grans funeral![]()
Higgs Nikki, what did you study at uni? My degree has nothing to do with what I do now either (I have a degree in contemporary music, bet you guys didn't think that of me!!)
That's a lot of travelling, especially if you do back to back shifts. Do they have facilities that you can stop over? We have staff accommodation at work that those who travel far can book and stop over if they do back to back shifts. Whereabouts will you be working? Some areas have keyworker housing schemes that allow you to buy or rent cheaper than normal.

Sorry to hear that Jackiemaybe he can get a little bit of time off just for the funeral or would it be too far to travel?
No its to far - a 90 minute journey each way. I understand he cant - it was really a joint decision. I have no one to pick the kids up from school neither so he is getting off work early to pick them up.
My mum is giving me a hard time about it as they wanted him to take a chord so it has turned into a drama![]()
