I've posted some tips on shopping these last few days before Christmas.

My tip is to stay the heck out of the stores

I'm actually one of those irritating people that shop year-round - disgusting, I know but it helps with the budgeting.

One tip that I always follow is to leave my coat in the car and wear a sweater that I can unbutton once I'm inside the warm stores. As well, I have a list and call ahead to find out if a store has what I'm looking for. If I'm just "browsing" for gifts, I try to go late at night or early in the morning to avoid the crush of shoppers. Lots of stores are offering extended hours but amazingly, people don't always take advantage (can't you tell I love crowds!)

Thanks for the ideas on Christmas music stations - the radio station I regularly listen to online isn't playing Christmas music regularly! I'm now listening to 97.3 EZ Rock online.

Like most husbands we count on the DW's to take care of much of the help with Santa at Christmas.

My DW starts Christmas shopping on Boxing Day. She's the best.

My tip.... shop early and shop online!! I am really really not a crowd person and I am probably one of the few women that hate shopping - I start shopping at the beginning of Sept/Oct and am done not a day later then Nov 30th. Online shopping really is the best though..... most places will ship for free around the holidays!
