Hi!
We're heading out in about 24 days and I am figuring out our trip budget and just realized that I have no clue what gas prices are between So. CA and FL!! We're averaging about $1.60-$1.65. Can all my DISers out there help me get a feel for the averages in your states??!! You don't necessarily have to live in a state directly between myself and WDW. TIA!!!
:D

Prices are about $1.40 in Arizona. Have a great time!

I don't know if you'll go thru Colo. but we're around $1.58 for mid. I noticed Utah as being 1 or 2 cents over us, last summer.

PS, your screenname's pretty cool.

$1.37 in Alabama; Georgia significantly less as they do not have a gas tax.

Just about every state should be less than CA!!! I just left San Diego and it's beautiful... but it is beyond me how people afford to live there!

Here in Florida, we're approaching $1.50 for regular, maybe less at a discount gas and snacks only station. We are always at least 10 or 12 cents higher than Georgia.

Prices in San Antonio range from $1.19 - $1.26 for regular unleaded along the I-10 corridor... We'll waive as you go through... Have a great trip...

Best price in Knoxville, TN is currently $1.29, and we complain!

Metro Atlanta is currently $1.20 to $1.27--be sure to fill up before you head south!

Wow!! Thanks for all the replies!! Great news too! Gas is definitely more expensive here than most places.

**Pugdog007: I'm glad you had a good time here in good ole So. CA! We're about an hour North of San Diego and only 20 miles South of DL!! We've lived here all our lives and even we can't figure out how most people afford it (including us). We live in one of the most affordable areas of S. Orange County where a 3 bedroom townhouse (1400 sq. ft.) goes for around 320,000, low end:eek: Fortunately, prices were much lower when we bought 7 years ago!!!

**Goin2CtheMouse: I guess we should bring an extra tank to fill while we're in your area!! We actually spend the night in San Antonio going both directions! We love the Riverwalk during Thanksgiving weekend!!! Soooo pretty.

Diva of Dragons...I was born and raised in California, most of the time in L.A and Orange Counties. You can imagine my surprise when we moved to NW Florida six years ago... you can walk to the beach from my house (well, the Sound, you have to drive 3 minutes across a bridge to get to the Gulf.) The water is warm and the sand is white. Our house is 1,900 sq. ft. and we paid... are you ready?... $130,000. I nearly fell over! Of course, the secret is out, and we have gained some equity since then. It's not going to stay this way, but wow! What a shocking experience for a California girl! :)
