Hey Everyone!
So, this morning my dad and I went in to the car dealership and picked up my first car; a brand new, 2010 Volkswagen Jetta! For anyone in the market looking for a small/midsize sedan with a lot of comfort, sport, and versatility, this is the car for you! (BTW, I'm not shilling for VW, I just think this is an awesome car, LOL)
It's small enough to maneuver in to those tight parking spots, but large enough that I can comfortably sit in it with room to spare. I'm just over 6 feet tall, and the problem I had with the Corolla, Civic, Mazda 3, etc., was that my head hit the roof even when the seat was at its lowest setting. I have the seat up pretty high on the Jetta and I have about 3 inches above my head to the roof, and the seat can go WAYYY lower too!
I got the Jetta Limited Edition, which basically takes the touch screen radio system away from the higher end models; a good way to save roughly $500! The model we purchased has the Tiptronic automatic transmission where you can switch it to manual mode for a sportier drive, a sunroof, and a protection package w/ splashguards, all weather floormats, etc.
One of my favorite features of this car is the leatherette seating. It's not REAL leather, but it's such a good imitation that I can't even tell the difference. Plus, it's really versatile in that you can wipe down the seats with a wet rag if something spills. The material is a lot more forgiving than leather.
So yeah, I just wanted to let everyone know this is a really cool, fun to drive car with a HUGE bang-for-your-buck value. If you're looking for a new car, definitely take a look at the Jetta!
