OT - just a little stressed down here.. okay A LOT stressed

As I'm sure you all have heard, the latest sniper shooting took place in the Richmond 'burbs. The area isn't far at all from where I work.

I get the feeling something is going on. They said throughout the day yesterday that school today would go on as planned. They said that the kids would be safest there. After the note was made public the schools were suddenly closed.

“This could be a very difficult time we are about to go through,” an investigator told NBC’s David Bloom at the scene of the shooting, without elaborating.

This quote kind of creeps me out.

My office and my kids' school is within <b>blocks</b> of the first group of shootings.

Sure, we've made some common-sense changes.....
The kids haven't been outside their school building for two weeks.
I wouldn't pump gas from the pumps facing the street.
And I've avoided the gas stations closest to I-95.

But, other than that.....
I have bought gas in that same station where the taxi driver was killed -- the day before he was shot, and yesterday.
I have mailed pins ) ) from the post office where the woman was shot.
And I will continue to patronize these places until someone tells me that there is a specific threat, on a specific day, at a specific time...then I'll choose to go elsewhere.

Snipers and terrorists.....They win when we change our lives and become cowards.

This is like a one sided war...and a cowardly one at that...I wish they would stop talking about "how he is eluding us" and giving him any type of praise....

He is the worst type of woose...and this is what they should be saying..he has to sneak in the shadows, and take on unsuspecting targets, what the heck is hard about that...he doesn't have the nerve to show himself, making him the coward he is... I would like to hear one of those stupid analysts on tv say that..

When I heard how close he had gotten to you guys, I was sick...I wondered how close your store was from there...My friends Mom lives near you, and she lives alone, and he has been trying to talk her into coming down here until this is settled..How about you guys, I have space?? Our thoughts and prayers are w/ you, and everyone up there....

We are sitting here watching the latest reports
that came out this morning. Hopefully they have
caught this *******.

There is no words that can describe what we think
about someone who would put terror or fear in
anyones life.

We are hoping that the reports are true!!!!

Keep your fingers crossed that the 2 people they have arrested today are the snipers.

The area that you are seeing on tv is actually mere minutes from where I work and an area that I drive through often when going between our stores!
