OT jury duty question

can I bring my laptop in jury duty room? I mean when you are there the 1st day waiting around... waiting to be sent home lol not "on duty" of a case yet?

I dont need internet access, just having my laptop to do pics and stuff.

I so am gonna be bored! Although I have books to catch up on LOL!

I just had jury duty last week and we were able to have laptops and other personal electronic devices. There was even a wifi(not a very good one) network there for us to use. Im sure it's different from place to place but I would imagine that most wouldnt care.

My local county courthouse doesn't even allow cellphones.

I would check to see if there is a website for the courthouse you are going to in order to see what is allowed so you don't have to walk back to your car and deposit your electronic equipment if they don't allow them.

I would check to see if there is a website for the courthouse you are going to in order to see what is allowed so you don't have to walk back to your car and deposit your electronic equipment if they don't allow them.

the same is true of the courthouse by my mom and sister....
not even cellphones - you can't even bring them into the building (you have to leave them in your car)...
so i would definitely check before bringing it with you..

Hmm, I know for sure they allowed cell phone before, but that was before the internet. I go Monday 8am, so no time to call ahead.
