OT: jon and Kate + 8 new house?

omg. I hate this show anymore. it was cool to see the family when they were normal. but now that every show is free fancy vacations and such i just roll my eyes. and it is clear to me that maddie and cara hate the cameras. the family spits out a ZILLION episodes every year, it seems like they are always being taped. I don't know. I can't blame them early on when they had 8 babies to be fed for doing a special or two for a little money. but now it is just excessive.

Why does Kate look so miserable lately??????
On the last episode I couldnt believe how she looked & was acting. They were sitting downstairs during the interview part and she had her head resting on her arm with the most miserable look on her face like she barely had the energy to be somewhat nice & presentable for the show.
Oh and the comments she makes made me crazy. Is this how someone who has come along so far supposed to act once they are somewhat famous???? She has some kind of arrogence about her lately.
I still watch the show but now its more like I criticize the episode to myself and compare how she was somewhat ok to now being to big for her britches. I used to like her but now i am seeing a different side to her lately. She doesnt seem like that nice of a person and her true colors are really coming out. I dont think this is such a great show lately and she isnt setting such a great example.

I was wondering the same thing. She looks completely disgusted to be there. She has always been mean to Jon, but lately, she acts like she can't stand him. We only caught about 10 minutes of the end of the show last night, but at the end she was throwing a fit about Jon interupting her.
I used to defend her, and think it was just her personality but overall she was a good person. Lately, it seems her true colors are shining through. The show is loosing it's appeal very quickly for me. I can't imagine that it's going to continue for very long. Maybe another season or so if they're lucky.

I thought the same thing while watching last night's episode. I tend to like the show despite Kate's obnoxious behaviors, but I'm kind of getting sick of watching what is basically a 30 minute commercial for the things/trips/activities they get for free. BUT, I will be the first to admit that I may be slightly jealous of all the great things they get! Of course, I only have twins and can only begin to imagine how challenging it must be to be parents of sextuplets.

I agree about Kate looking tired or bored or whatever lately on the show. I still watch because I can relate to the kids. I have a son one year younger & I do love watching the kids. When I first started reading this post, I took up for Kate but honestly when I sit back & truly watch her actions, she has changed & it seems Jon does everything as far as taking care of the kids. She does the laundry, cooking & the book tours & that's about it.

I agree, I have always thought he was pretty rude to her. He just does it in a less noticable way.

I used to love this show. I could related to their stress (no that I have 8 kids). I could relate to the "discussions" between Jon and Kate. But last night was the last straw. I will not watch it any more. I do not need to see them getting an entire truck of appliances. What's next week a truck load of furniture? I can no longer relate to them. Don't get me wrong. I don't begrudge them their success. Good for them. I just don't want to watch the life of the rich and famous with kids.

Also, Kate really is out of hand lately. I don't know if it is the fame or the editing but ....I do not need to see Kate be cruel to Jon. I mean she used to look to the producers for the laugh. Now, she just slams him and looks disgusted. "how dare he contribute to the discussion of what obviously was a day only she could explain".....And he just looks away. I would advise the editors to show Kate with a little joy (and not about her new things) or they will be our of a job soon. Jon looks unhappy too. Is it the stress of the move, the stress of fame, or editing?? '

One more kind of petty complaint.... If Kate says one more time that her kids deserve that house and land ect I am going to be . How many people out there are working day and night with multiples or large families, don't they deserve that house?? Are her kids more deserving then others. I am sorry but no thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this. Each time she said it I wondered why they "deserved" it.

Personally I think the family I saw on TV raising 6 children with Autism have it far harder than the Gosselins do. At least all of their children are healthy and developing normally and will grow up to lead independent lives.

I have to admit to being a die-hard J&K watcher, but lately...

I DVR'd the show from Monday and just watched it, and all the brand placement left me cold. Yeah, Whirlpool Duet. NOT! I could get past the special treatment at Disney, the deluxe skiing vacation, the incredible accomodations in Hawaii, the beach house in the Carolinas, etc., but now it's every SINGLE show that ticks me off. I'm about done with it, honestly.

This last episode also left me feeling very cold. I got discusted when they pulled up with the new washing machines and of course Kate has to do the advertising for the free items for the (Duet or whatever it was). Oh an she mentioned about a new frig (surprise surprise she b_tched up a storm over the dirty one a few weeks back. I am getting more & more annoyed at looking at all of their freebies on every show.

I skipped thru most of the new episode. It was just so boring, especially watching the kids paint. It's just getting so old, Kate screaming about messes and all. When you can predict what is going to happen during a scene, it's time to call it quits for the show.

I have noticed this lately myself. And I like the show. She almost acted like it was a chore to be in the interview room.

Even though I do like the show I dont always enjoy her talk to her hubby the way she does. I know it's must be hard to be in her situation but dang. I actually think it's great they are still together after all of this time.

As for the trips...*jealous*....however I dont want to see it in every episode either.

I have always been a Big fan of this show and love this family even with all of their faults. We all have faults right? But recently I saw an episode from the first season and then watched one of the more recent ones after that. The difference in J&K was incredible! They seemed so real and present in the old show and so unhappy in the newer one. It was like watching celebrities, not a real family. I miss who they used to be before all of this fame and the make-overs. I am no longer sure that their changes have been positive.

I have seen the same things with the Little People Big World family - they have changed a lot also. But I do not think they have lost themselves completely. I love that they are also putting their fame to good use with Matt's charity and work in Iraq. They still seem real to me.

Anyway, I am starting to rethink this family. I pray for them and I hope they can find a way to return to their former happiness. Kate smiled so much more the first season than she does now.

I guess the 6 will go to school in the fall. I wonder what will happen to the show then?

I'm actually getting so irritated and bored with the show that I fell asleep Monday night during it! But I saw the commercial last night for next weeks show... They are getting TWO puppies?! I can't imagine Kate being patient enough to housebreak two puppies! I already feel bad for those poor little dogs! And the kids who are going to get yelled at a lot probably because of what the dogs do....

I so much like Little People Big World so much better and I dont think fame has gone too much to their heads. Amy & Matt seem like very nice people
Matt is a little crazy with the spending and doing home renovations (my husband is the same way i guess the guys get bored and have to constantly have projects going on) and sometimes I really relate to Amy
due to this and its kind of funny because it would be the same way i would react. I always call my husband Matt Roloff. They dont seem to be constantly going on free trips or advertising for anyone for free goodies.

Actually i hope the Octuplet mom gets a show one day when the babies are a bit older, that will knock John & kate right off of their pedestals, time for something new.

The octuplet mom makes Kate seem like a harmless kitten. That woman is NUTS - IMO.
