I know this is OT but just wanted to know how long you can go between charging. I've had to recharge mine the past two nights and I don't think I've used it for more than a few hours. Mostly playing games and surfing the internet(but only 10-20 minutes at a time). I have the 4th generation.
What mond of battery life are you getting?

I can use mine for several hours using apps before charging. If listening to music only with internet turned off, I can listed for an 8 hour workday and only be down less than 1/4 charge. Make sure you are closing out of apps when you close them. (You have to double click to see what apps are running). Also, I turned off location services and push options to help conserve battery life. If you google you can find what to do to help battery life.

Turn the screen brightness down.

That is what eats up most of the battery on the ipod touch. I used to use mine on the highest brightness and could barely get through one movie. If I turn in down, I can watch multiple movies on one charge. If you're inside it shouldn't be a big deal if the brightness isn't on as high.

Also, if you're not using the wireless turn it off as that eats up battery, too.

My dd has the 4th generation too and her battery life is much shorter than my 2nd generation one! Even with the brightness turned wayyyyy down. It charges much faster than my 2nd gen. did... which died right before christmas. :(

The wireless and apps eat the battery life, I turn mine to airplane mode to conserve energy when I don't want wi-fi

On mine, if I'm not on the internet or watching youtube videos, I can go a good 5-7 hours. If I am, it's probably 1-2 hours.
