This is a long shot, but I know that the Maclaren Quest is a popular stroller among the Disney crowd.
Today, I used my 2009 model Maclaren Quest stroller for only the 3rd time, and the hinge pulled apart while my 4 month old baby was sitting in it. (Talk about a safety issue!) The item was purchased a few months ago, and I don't have a way of obtaining a sales receipt...so I'm unsure of how (or if) Maclaren stands behind their warranty without a receipt.
My DH removed the zip-on hinge covers, and it looks like a rivet might be missing from the hinge. But, the hinge on the other side looks exactly the same, and I'm really unsure as to if it's actually SUPPOSED to look the way it does.
Here's a picture of what my stroller hinges look like. If you notice, there's a rivet on the right side of the hinge. But on the left side, there's a hole but it does not have a rivet in it. I'm not sure if this is the way the stroller is actually supposed to be, or if we somehow managed to have the rivets on both hinges fall out.
DH really struggled with opening the stroller (he had never done it before), so it's possible that he might have done something wrong to pull the hinge apart. But, I'm trying to figure out if there should actually be a rivet in that empty hole, before I call Maclaren about it.
If anyone has a Maclaren Quest, I would really appreciate it if you could look at your stroller hinges and tell me if they look the same as mine. Here's a pic of mine:
