OUCH! I stubbed my toe at 8:45am. It's 3 hours later and it still hurts. S

I've broken my toe twice. There is not much you can do about it. "Buddy" tape it to the toe beside and take something for pain (Advil/Tylenol). There is a soft paper tape that you can get called micro-pore. It will keep your toe still but it's not super sticky. The first time I did it I went for an x-ray and they said it would hurt for 6 weeks, and it did nearly to the day. After that my toe did not bend for a full year.

BTW, if by tomorrow the top of your foot is badly bruised up it is more that likely broken.

At least you don't have to wear closed toe shoes. I did mine in November. Trying to put your foot in a shoe is whole new kind of pain.

I've also broken my toe a few times (baby toe). It hurts like crazy and like the PP said it will probably hurt for around 6 weeks. I also had the bruising up the top and side of my foot when I broke my toe.

My dear, I have broken probably all of my toes (yes, I'm a klutz). Ice it, elevate it, it's all you can really do.

Been there, done that! Tape the toe to it's neighbour. Both my big toes and both little toes will never be the same. Plus it seems to me that once you do it you keep doing it.:headache:

Broke my "ring" toe once... had to get a knee-high cast and crutches. It was embarassing to tell people why I had such a big cast :P. It's surprising how much of an inconvenience a broken toe can be.

:thumbsup2 Broke my toe two years ago at BLIZZARD BEACH!!! Last day of our trip...thank gawd! I was walking at a snappy pace and pointing at something.....wham...right into the curb....my husband heard it break. Drove home in a sock because my foot was so swollen I couldn't get my shoe on! Now my toe is really crooked and perminantly bent (great). The little guy next to the baby toe...took forever to heal. Have fun with that!:thumbsup2

Just reading that made me feel the pain all over again. I heard mine break too.

I broke my big toe at a club 20 years ago when I was 21. I had those white keds on and some gal stepped on my foot with heels. Well I did not know it was broke at the time due to the anesthetic effects :drinking1. Wellll because I did not set it properly I have suffered with pain in that toe for 20 years andI would have to have it re-broken and set if I want it to stop hurting. I have discovered that wearing Crocs is the only thing that brings me relief!

I just broke my toe on Sat afternoon at Typhoon Lagoon. I was going to Crush''N Gusher and stubbed it off a lawn chair. I was very bruised yesterday black and purple on top and side of toe. Today doesn't look as bad but hurts alot to walk on. We left Sunday afternoon and got home tonight at 5:00 pm (Mon May 28).

I messed up my shoulder at TL in March. I did an accidental somersault at the end of a slide. The shoulder injury affected my neck, which made me dizzy everytime I lifted my arms. It's a little souvenier from vacation. heeheehee. S
