OT: I seem to be having a lot of these lately....

Sorry for the excessive amount of off topic posts. I hope some of you arent getting irritated.

I currently collect the department 56 "the guest collection" snowbabies. These are the snowbabies that include different characters (i.e. Disney characters, wizard of oz characters, sesame street, raggedy ann, grinch, santa, etc)...

If anyone has any of these and plans to ever get rid of them--lol (this is my infomercial for the day)-- please dont. I would love to trade you something (which i do a lot of over on the "come trade with us!" thread on the budget board and just recently discovered the "Exchange" board.

I also collect disney snowglobes of all shapes and sizes (even mini's).

This post is also to let you know that if you are a collector-- you can go over to one of those posts and put up the things you are willing to part with and then list things you are looking for. We all pay our own shipping (per say-- you want my A, and I want your B... I ship YOU my A and I pay the shipping... and you pay the shipping for your B that you are sending me). Theres really no policy to it but a lot of trust. its a great way to get rid of the old and get some new!!

Anyhoo-- sorry for yet another off topic post... I guess sometimes we have to rest from all this wedding planning... even though im a has-been wedding planning bride... I still like to join in on the action over here!!

i like the ot posts....we're like a DFTW family here...its nice to know we can just all talk.

anyway I have so much Disney stuff..its really bad....I even have some snow babies I got from my stepmom...they are so cute.

I think its a great idea...you never know if someone has something someone else is looking for...it works...& it might even go for wedding stuff....could be the something borrowed or old??

im gonna keep an eye on this one

I collect the department 56 christmas houses to put up with the Christmas decorations and I have found that you can get them for really cheap on ebay! I purchased one house that retails for $120 for $18 (plus $20 shipping from the US to Canada). I'm sure they have your collection too.

I collect the department 56 snow babies too. I was thinking today how I am so mad. I had seen the dept56 snowbabie with pinocchio, I went to order it and my computer dropped me out. The next day I logged back on and they were all gone! I was so mad. But, that was a month ago I should get over it.

I also collect disney snowglobes, although they are much harder to store.
