This all so unreal and feels like a scene from a really bad episode of The Sopranos. My sister always kids me about living in a Soprano neighborhood.

In the wee hours of this morning I was awakened to my dog barking and flashing lights. DH and I ran outside to investigate. There were no less than a dozen (I counted) police cars parked in front of my next door neighbors house and in front of ours. We could hear the police shouting for my "turf war " neighbor to open the door or they would break it down. Then we heard the door crack and crash.

 That is crazy! I'm so glad you all weren't in danger. What a thing to wake up to!

Just a note of caution, but do you really want to post pics and news of your exact location on the web? Makes me nervous when people do stuff like that, especially on a travel board were you discuss when and where you vacation (ie leave your home). You might want to delete these details....just a friendly lookout...:thumbsup2

A rude awakening on a Tuesday morning for sure!!! BTW, great house!! To bad they had to smash the front door down. And that coffee table is certainly a different decorating choice than I would make. :lmao:

Beautiful house. If I had $700,000, I would think about moving in. So glad you all are safe!

Thanks all for your kind words. So glad I have DISers to share this with.

OMG, I hadn't thought. Thank you. I haven't been thinking too clearly today. Spent most of the day cleaning up the side gardens. I hope the media onslaught doesn't happen. At least I got the beach grass cut and cleaned up. It was a beautiful day.. the weather anyway.

Tonya2426- Agreed, his taste in furnishings leaves something to be desired. DEA did a very professional job with the battering ram though. You can't even tell from the street anything happened.

Derby4me- I wish you had 700k. It's a beautiful quiet area.....really:laughing:

I am so glad that they busted this guy, this is such a nationwide tragedy that has personally affected our family. I have learned that they estimate there are more people addicted to Rx pain medicines than all other substances.

Our local school is full of this drug and it sickens me to think how the process works. I am so glad to hear that your neighborhood can return to normal, or at least as normal as can be.

Sounds like they did a great job of catching these people. It's horrible how these greedy people play on those weaker than themsleves.

I hope this guy stopped mowing your lawn - why would anyone do that :confused3
Have a peaceful weekend

It is a national emergency. Young kids are the victims because it's become so easy for them to get. I'm sickened that it took so many deaths and so long for them to catch him.

Most everyone in our neighborhood is unaware of what happened. It's spring break here. Had it been a school day my DS would've been walking to the bus stop at that time.
We haven't been answering the door to the media.

They did a great job on the investigation. There are still 3 more arrests to be made in NJ and I have a feeling more throughout the country. So far I think they've arrested 60 people.

I had a "run in" or "tractor in" with him a few years ago about it. Knowing what I know now I don't think I would've yelled quite as loudly ordering him off his tractor and out of my yard. DH said at the time I probably startled him into submission and retreat:rotfl: I'm a mild mannered soft spoken gardener. Just don't mess with my plants!

Ironically we will probably have to cut HIS grass now that he's gone.

Well, the melodrama continues from Stepfordville.

He's back and he's mowing the lawn:eek: This is so bizarre he didn't even miss a mowing! It's like he got out of jail just to go home and mow.

I'm kind of surprised that he's out at all. I guess he's not a flight risk and bringing in 1 million a month afforded him a really good lawyer.

Now what? How do we react when we see him. I told the kids to just say hi if they have to and keep moving. Do I say "Welcome Home"? I'll probably try to just ignore him.
