Okay:
DF and I were going to go out of town for New Year's Eve to Gatlinburg, get a chalet in the mountains and have a weekend of romance (which is needed badly!
). With him finishing his last semester of school and preparing for the CPA exam, and work, the wedding, the holidays, and all, we have had zero "alone" and romantic time.
Well...........my car broke down last week and costed us about $1100.00.......sooo..........there goes the extra money to go out of town!
So, he is spending the weekend at my apartment instead (we don't live together yet....)
I want to make sure it feels like we are out of town on this romantic getaway, but still home. I am trying to not spend a lot of money.
So, I need romantic ideas to fill our weekend, I want us to just relax and forget about our cares and just spend time with one another....any ideas for me? I was thinking maybe a "carpet picnic" in front of the fire? Or going to a fancy restaurant that we normally wouldn't go to?
We live in Indianapolis, so any locals have any ideas?
I know this sounds sappy and gushy, but we have just been ships passing in the night lately and we are desperate for some together time! TIA!!!
