OT- How's the weather?

It is -28c here right now and with the windchill it is -38c.

Well first we had the floods, then the wind. Now we've had deep wet snow and the arctic wind is coming. I'm glad I have less than a week and then I'll be in Florida!

They finally lifted that today. The water still tastes pretty bad though.
I guess this weather is payback for our great dry summer. Hopefully the whole winter isn't like this though! I moved from Alberta so I wouldn't have to shovel!

Water pipes broke in our apartment building today. I was 1 wall away from disaster. My next door neighbor is gonna be ticked off when he gets home to his soggy apartment. And the crazy bag across the hall left he balcony door wide open today, who purposefully lets -38C inside? Only 3.5 more weeks til winter starts!

you are going to hate us people in Southern Ontario.. but we got up to 16 today, 12 on Tuesday then 16 again on Wednesday.. BUT Thursday is high of 2, so we have to put away the spring coats soon..
That weather would kill me -28 is way way to cold!

Kelowna isn't supposed to get this cold weather.....it was -14 today but something like -24 with the windchill tonight! brrrrr......I moved from Calgary to get away from the cold winters.....I guess the joke's on me! And the snow.....it just doesn't seem to stop.

Oh well......two weeks and I should be tucked into bed at the CSR by now! Stay warm everyone!

So, the maintenance men who fixed the frozen pipes yesterday decided to leave the hot water running in the suite next to me so that the pipes didn't REfreeze. I'm sure they figured the person who lives there would be home that night to turn off the water.... nope, no show. So this morning their water is STILL running and I had a cold shower. My apartment is so cold that the frozen water bottles i left on the counter last night were still frozen this morning. I give up, i'm moving to California.

Yesterday it was 16 here, I think today it is supposed to be around 14 and Wednesday around 17..........thank goodness!

Ok it is officially cold! The kids school bus is frozen...no school This might be the day to do some baking. It is -30 right now with a wind chill of -38. I want to be in WDW right now

Dh works down on 6th ave. I drove him to the brt 301 just to get him there before lunch LOL! One kid was able to catch a ride with another kids mom. She has a jeep and only had one other seatbelt so ds12 got a ride to school but dd stayed home as the bus was frozen and was going no where. I am a sahm so I do not have to deal with the downtown rush everyday. I do miss working full time though...lunching with friends and the intellectual stimulation! Once ds3(4 in 10 days) starts school I will go back. Dh has a late meeting today so is going to try and cab it home after rushhour (don't think so but he won't listen!)

They changed it Thursday we are to have a high of 18! Its super foggy here in Oakville. But Ive got the windows open.

It's been GREAT here in Nova Scotia. Thursday and Friday they're calling for 14 with a low of 10!

My office building had no power over the weekend (an no heat). It is about 10 degrees in here and we are all freezing. Typing with cold fingers is no fun. It better be warmer than this in Florida!
