help!
i figured someone on here would know :goodvibes ... we've got pencil marks all over a white painted wall (it was an attempted mural that moved to a different room). Anyone know how to get them off easily? erasers seem to smudge it more than anything. :headache:
any help is appreciated!

Have you tried a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It got permenant marker off my moms walls. Of course, the day before my parents were to move out of their house, my neice and my son wrote all over their walls in the hallway at their house. I right away got the magic eraser and scrubbed and scrubbed. I would say 99% of it came off. I think all of it would have come off, except my parents had those textured walls.

I second the Magic Eraser! As a matter of fact I will be pulling it out tomorrow to clean my walls yet again since DS decided he wanted to be Picasso yet again and draw on my walls! :headache:

don't know what is in them or why they work but oh yes those Magic Erasers really are magic! Markers, colored pencils, crayons, oh yes indeed. Regular pencils? piece a' cake.

Wet the eraser first and gently rub. no great pressure needed. If you are working on "builder grade white paint" be very careful or you will be looking at bare drywall!

The only problem with those Magic Erasers is that after you're done cleaning the wall, you'll feel a sudden urge to go room-by-room and "erase" everything you see, until there is nothing left but little shreds of Eraser. Then you'll go to the store and buy another pack. :thumbsup2

It's true the magic eraser is wonderful! I've even gotten pen off of my suede couch by using it!!

What's also true is that once you've used it you will be hooked! I buy it by the brick and go through them in at least a month.

My husband hates the Magic Eraser b/c he swears that it takes the finish off of the walls and I think he might be right (esp. when you are trying to get something off of a wall that isn't white), but I use it anyway b/c it does work miracles! Just make sure your kids don't use it. I read somewhere that it is very toxic, which makes sense if it is able to take off all of that stuff.

Yes an ingredient in it is formaldehyde (sp??)...but it works miracles.

I use magic clean eraser everywhere !! Took crayon, pen, pencil and marker off the wall, behind the sofa where dd4 kept herself busy 1 afternoon LOL.

Those magic erasers are great! In a pinch I have also used some of the babies wipees. Those seem to get rid of lots of stuff too. :)
