After suffering over a year with an achy back and being prescribed physiotherapy and massage, DH is now suffering with an achy back. We have realized that our current $200 Ikea mattress just isn't cutting it...

Now, I'm in the market for a new mattress and have no idea what to look for. I have heard many complaints about Sealy and people feeling that they were ripped off after spending several thousand dollars.

Does anyone have a good recommendation of a good mattress?

I LOVE the Heavenly Bed from the Westin Store, and would love to purchase it but it is very pricey and needs to be shipped.

Ikea also has a new line out that is endorsed by the Physiotherapy Association... So, I am thinking it is better quality.

Can someone pass on some advice?

Sleep Country has sales and they do a mismatch sale, where the boxspring doesn't match the mattress. I don't care if they match because I have sheets on them!

I just bought a latex matress from Sleep Country after wearing out my Ikea foam matress. My back has thanked me.

What type did you buy? I have talked to some girls at work who both got Sealy from Sleep Country and hated it!!!!

Totally blanking on the company name but part of it was made with bamboo. I can check for the manufacturer's name when I get home.

My mom has a Stern's and Foster latex matress and she loves hers as well.

I bought a Sealy from Sleep Country this September and I love it :) I didn't get a super expensive one.. just a low end one.. it works well for my needs.

Most places that sell mattresses will have some kind of sleep guarantee so that you have a period of time to try a mattress and can return it no questions asked if it's still in perfect condition.

Just bought a queen sized matress (on a budget) after testing out many many matresses we went with a king koil which is comfortble beyond belief. My dbf has many back problems and absolutly loves it. it was purchased in peterborough at a local store. but a good place to check is the clearing house. They had many good deals on mattresses of all brands and styles.
