My daughter's preschool is having a Night of the Art's. Where they are doing passed hors d'oeuvres. I offered to make one:confused3 . And I have no clue, it needs to be simple ( I screw everything up) but it can't be too simple because they are selling the recipes as a school fundraiser ( for $1). Anyway.. Can anyone help me out??:sad2: TIA!:flower3:

I made mini popovers with Brie at Christmas...there are 6 ingredients, including the Brie! VERY easy but elegant. http://www.bettycrocker.com/Recipes/Recipe.aspx?recipeId=7955

Or marinated tortellini, mini mozza ball and grape tomato on a small skewer? I've done these several times. I marinate the cooked cheese tortellini and mozza in Kraft Robusto Italian for several hours or overnight. Then put 1 tortellini, 1 grape tomato and 1 mozza ball on a short skewer.

I find alot of things on the Pillsbury site that are easy and yummy: http://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/recipe-collections/Appetizers-Recipe-Collection.htm

Depends on if it needs to be hot or cold.

A hot one that I have is this:

Thinly slice beef steak: (can use round, I use deer meat) they should be the length of your little finger.(Think fajatia strips)
Put them into a ziploc with 1 bottle of Italian dressing (12oz) and 6 oz of whisoshire(sp??) sauce. Marinate for 24 hours.
Slice jalapeno peppers into small strips.
Cut a lb of bacon in half. Place 1 strip of steak, 1 strip of pepper onto the bacon. Wrap and place into a baking pan. Once you are finished with the whole lb of bacon, place under the broiler for 10 minutes. Keep a close eye so they do not burn! Remove from the oven and drain the grease that has come off. Flip over each roll then back under the broiler. Serve hot!!!!

Cold:
Place a block of cream cheese onto a serving dish. Top with any of the following:
Pepper Jelly
Pickapeppa sauce
Tiger Sauce
(For Christmas I found a peach & amarato jelly, it was to die for:cloud9: )
Serve with Ritz crackers! You could top each cracker with the cream cheese and jelly yourself and place on the tray!

A very simple, cold one I make is a triscuit cracker with a slice of roma tomato on top, a couple of drops of italian salad dressing, some fresh grated parm cheese and black pepper. Everywhere I take them, they're gone in a minute. And they are SOOOO easy.

Little hotdogs wrapped with crescent roll dough, baked in the oven, put on a toothpick

You can put anything on a toothpick---mix/match...cheese cubes, ham, turkey, cherry tomatoes, pepporoni

Fruit on a toothpick---pineapple, cantalope, watermelon....

1 cup of vanilla yogurt blended with 1 cup of peanut butter. Serve with sliced apples. Delicious!

You can do tortilla roll ups. Mix cream cheese (I use 1/3 less fat kind) with some garlic and pesto. Season it to taste. Then spread it on tortillas and top with whatever you want - thinly sliced ham, olives, cheese, whatever.

Roll it up tightly and pop it into the freezer for a few minutes to chill. Then take them out and slice them and they make pretty little spirals.

Thanks so much, I need to try all of these! I think I am going to do the bacon bites for her school.:goodvibes
