So, a few weeks ago, we saw a couple moths fluttering about. We thought they probably came in the front door, as they like the porch light (and warmer weather). As the summer has progressed, we have seen more and more moths. We couldn't figure out where they were coming from. I have not seen any in the pantry or signs of them.
We got some pheromone moth traps and put them around the house. The traps caught a moth here and there. Recently, we have seen a few more in our bedroom, so we put one in the bathroom and one in the closet. Well, last night, they must have gone nuts for the trap because I walked into the bathroom and saw a couple moths. As I proceeded to kill them, they literally came out of the woodwork (the baseboard), and I killed at least 20 in a matter of 30-60 seconds.
I was freaking out, so my husband decided to try house insect spray. This morning, I haven't seen a single moth. However, my closet is on the other side of the bathroom. I only saw 1-2 moths fly about in there last night, but I'm wondering from those of you who have dealt with this before, do I need to empty my closet and launder everything and clean the whole thing top to bottom? Or should I wait and see... even if the moths are gone, is it possible there are eggs and larva that could cause trouble?
Ack....I hate insects....
