My DS 6 is 48 in tall and weighs 44 lbs. I have gotten him Gymboree and some Gap slims but can't seem to find slim athletic pants. Any ideas for skinny sweatpants? I am tired of rolling them up around the waist to try to keep them on. poor little guy:goodvibes

thanks. It has been unseasonably cool here and I am unprepared!

Hanes brand runs really narrow so you may have some luck with those. While they aren't name brand or available in fun designs, they work pretty well for my skinny guy.

My DS is skinny too. My mom sews (and I don't - I'm lucky if I can sew a button on), so she takes DS's pants in a little on each side of the waistband.

I'm in the same boat with my DS(8). But I just got a Lands End catalog the other day, and it has some new pants called "Knit Trekkers." They look like sweatpants, except the ankles aren't elastic - and they actually come in slims!! I'm hoping they'll work.

Two seasons ago I found some nice ones at Kohls under the Sonoma brand. They were perfect for my two slim boys--sweatpants material, solid colors with strips down the side to look sporty, & no elastic on the bottom. Then I went back last season & they changed their style. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they go back to the old style or similar this year!

I love shorts season--I can get away with smaller sizes that fit around their waist. After that my youngest especially either has to walk around hiking his pants up or has to have high water ones! That perfect fit is so hard to find!

Hanna Andersson. A bit pricy but they will last forever...as in you can hand them down and down...and down. My daughter got some from a friend and has worn them for 3 winters (and she is HARD on pants) and they are still in hand me down quality. Hannas are sized by height, not weight, so they do seem to fit better and be wearable longer. We never outgrow Hannas in one season it seems.

I put DD in yoga pants. They're much closer fitting, but still cozy.

Thanks all for your replies! I will definitely try Hanes, Sonoma and Lands End. I didn't realize that Land's end had slims and we have Kohls here so I can probably find the Sonomas and maybe Hanes (?) there too.

I would say the majority of DS clothes except the pants are Hanna Anderson - love, love, love them. But the pants have so much extra fabric even now that they have some with adjustable waist. Just don't look very good.

I guess its time for back to school shopping. Where did the summer go?
