Okay, so I know they are bit Hillary, but I'm growing out my bangs and they are easy in the morning for my girls (without a battle)

1) I want to make my own. They just look like ribbon around a plastic band. Where do I buy the basic plastic bands ? Do you use glue with the ribbon or hot glue ? Any tricks ?

2) I have some cute ones that I've collected over the years (for me). Some of them are massive headache-inducers by pinching behind the ears too tightly (my head is normal size!). How do I easily stretch them (other than on my head ) ?

thanks
: )

Hey, I love to make headbands for my daughter. This is the way I make them, it really takes less than 10 minutes!

For the ones you are talking about, check out Teresa's bookmarks, she has a whole section of hair things. I think you can buy basic plastic ones at Sally's Beauty Supply. I am not sure how to stretch them. Have fun!

The problem I see with wrapping fabric or ribbon around a plastci headband is that you wouldn't have the little "teeth" to grip your hair anymore and thus (on me at leats) they'll slide all over and your flyaway bangs will slip out

Sorry, I don't have any stretching suggestions. When mine pinch my head i just move it slightly and the when THAT spot piches I move them back.

I don't wear headbands much. Pulling your front section of hair back and crisscrossing with plain bobby pins is trendy now if they're long enough to work that way.
