OT: Gunman standoff near us...prayers/thoughts needed (Update in post #4)

This is taking place in the town where I teach (link below). I was not on campus this afternoon - but a gunman is currently involved in a standoff in a retail location on the east edge of town (and has been since early afternoon). Rumor (and as of now it's still rumor) is that he has a 3.5 year old hostage. Prayers if you make 'em; thoughts if you don't.

A police robotic device found the gunman's body inside.

No one else was harmed.
