I have used BonFire for legal music E purchase. I think it is run by Future Shop The songs are about $1 and there are liscence limits on what you can do with it. Be sure to read all the info carefully. I have done this in the past, mostly with the same intent - to find some great, ahem, "less than current" music! They have a pretty good selection.
