OT: gift card yo purchase apps on Kindle?

We are getting a Kindle Fire HD for DD for Christmas. What kind of gift cards would we buy to allow her to get apps, music and videas? I'm assuming an Amazon.com gift card????

If you buy the apps through Amazon, I would think a gift card there would be suitable. I have no idea because I only have a regular Kindle I'm afraid.

A regular gift card for Amazon will allow you to purchase anything you want on Amazon for your Kindlefire. They have numerous free apps and a daily free app of the day from the paid section. There are also some free books everyday and books that are reduced in price. Be aware that some apps have in game purchasing. I recommend charging your Kindle before wrapping, down loading a couple of apps you think she might like and setting the parent controls before giving it to her. Make sure you set ground rules on the purchasing so she doesn't charge freely all month on your account and you end up surprised when you open your cc statement. This family loves their kindle. For us it was money well spent!

Thank you! She has an iphobe and we have rules in place... the tablet will be the same. Good idea to charge and download a few apps though!
