OK, my tree I bought today is in the hallway and now I want to decorate it. I bought 11 new decorations at DLRP last week!! lol

We have presents from other people under the tree. The ones from Santa appear on Christmas morning in huge sacks near the fire.

Do you open your family presents in the morning or after lunch?

Yeah, same here.. we have 'other' pressies under the tree. The ones from Santa just seem to appear around the tree on Xmas morning;)

We open a few pressies first thing in the morning (usually the big ones). Then we open the smaller ones after breakfast.

Our dog gets all excited when we put our christmas tree up. He knows he always gets a little present on christmas day so he sits by the tree constantly:rotfl2:

Before we discovered DD was allergic to dogs. Kato (our Shar Pei) was the same. Anything treat related never made it to Christmas day :rotfl:

Awww.... Sounds like my aunt and uncle's old dog Bisto.... He used to could unwrap bars of chocolate, eat them, and then put the present back under the tree in such a way that you couldn't tell it had been opened! :lmao: He always used to leave two squares of chocolate, or two sweets, or whatever, so my aunt and uncle always got one!!!!

Evening all - Real lifes over and Im back here again

Oh Christmas talk I like that.

2 years ago DD woke up at 12.30 (midnight) wanting to open her prezzies - Id been in bed literally 5 mins and DS was still out

We all have pressies round the tree as well, they can't be opened til I've been to pick Mum up at 10am (she has pressies under there as well).
We get Mum to make a Christmas list for us now, this year she's put a tube of toothpaste on it!! DD2 has bought it!

That is why we don't actually put the present down until Christmas morning, although I really don't think he would open it.

I remember one year we had a large Xmas tree compared to previous years so we had this one on the floor unlike the other where they were on a table. The dog would nudge the chocolates on the tree, he never took them which my mum tought he would do

Hello! Have you had a nice time?

Yes thank you- we went to Nandos and then nipped into Asda to buy a few Christmas bits -not exactly the social life of the year but its ages since we went any where together just the 2 of us

What did you think of Nandos then??

I will post a picture of my tree when it's done but be prepared for something that looks ahem, let's say not very professional.;)

Christmas dinner - any traditions there?
I did our first one last year. We all usually went to my mums but she's not very christmassy so we will be staying at home from now on. I also did a family buffet in the evening with everyone over. That way the kids see everyone but it's not too overwhelming.
