I found some time to go shopping this school holidays and made it to Chadstone, the Shopping Capital (their tag line, not mine). I know that the Gap store was due to open there in October and as I had not been to Chadstone in about 6 weeks, I was delighted to find the store open.

I did not have a lot of time to check out prices but I had a quick look at the Gap Khakis - long pants were retailing at $90. The shorts were retailing at around $60. The Gap Jeans were retailing at $110.
There seemed to be a good range of stock, with the usual size options. And I didn't have time to head upstairs to the kids section.

I know these prices are higher than what we pay in the US at full retail price. But I didn't think they were too bad, considering that the Gap shop at the airport was selling the khakis duty free at $180.
And when you think that you don't need to purchase an airline ticket to shop at Gap, it's practically a BARGAIN! :rotfl2:

Now....if only they would open a Banana Republic. :rolleyes1

Still requires an airfare from here! Must say I picked up a load of stuff for the kids from Gap. Grabbed jeans for me, pretty sure they were US$59. We also got heaps of basics for the kids from Old Navy too.

Now, gotta wonder when Gap will open up in Perth 2020 perhaps!:thumbsup2

And Gap is opening in Westfield Parramatta this month too!!! And for Gymboree lovers there is a Gymboree at Parra and Eastgardens now as well.

I just told my mum in Melbourne that Gap had opened at Chadstone on the phone and she said "I know I was there last month..." Where was the love? I think I need to visit home soon... I hear sleigh bells ringing:santa:

Oh wow, I can't believe they are opening at Parramatta. Parra Westfield is like the scariest shopping centre I have ever been too - haven't been there for years.

I may just have to embrace the fear so I can go and see The Gap :lmao:
