OT-For Pittsburgh Residents

My curiosity is getting the best of me. We live 2 and a half hours from the closest airport (PIT) so we usually drive up the night before and spend the night before our early flight the next morning. I decided to go ahead and make our hotel ressies last night for June 15th and "barely" got a hotel room! At more than 9 months out! I looked at several of the big hotel chains and they are ALL booked solid! Luckily, the hotel we normally stay at still had rooms, but I looked again today and even that is sold out. (So glad I booked yesterday!) What in the world is going on that all the hotels would be booked this far in advance?

What part of WV are you from, Kanga? I'm from the northern panhandle....it takes us about 40 minutes to get to the airport (PIT). Are you closer to Morgantown?

I'm about an hour and a half south of Morgantown, but still far enough away from Charleston that it's closer to fly out of PIT...plus it's cheaper.
