OK,

We are trying to decide do we just get our lunches from the food court the day we leave and take them with us or do we wait until we get to the airport. Does anyone know what places to eat are at the airport?

TIA :cool1:

there are the usual fast food places, plus i have seen chili's etc also. if you google Orlando airports you will get a link that shows dining/shopping/gates, etc.

If my memory is correct, there is a Burger King, Outback Express, Nathan's Hot Dogs (?), and a sandwich place which I can't remember the name of. We were laughing when we returned from our visit last April as the meal we got at the airport was one of the most expensive of the week!

If you want something a little more upscale, I suggest lunch at McCoy's in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, right up the escalator near the security lines.

I would agree with McCoys. It is relaxing, the food is good, and if needed they have a full bar. Also the service can be very fast if you ask. That is actually the hotel's lower priced restaurant. They have one on the 9th floor, but that is only open for breakfast and dinner.

Our ds who is 2 1/2 will be thrilled to see a Chili's...he LOVES chilis! A good filling lunch to help the kiddos sack out on the plane ride back to Chicago!!! And a tall frosty for Mommy and Daddy :cool1:

Be forewarned that the Chilis is a Chilis Mini. They don't have a full Chili's menu, just a partial one. I don't remember everything that was on it but I do remember it being select items though.

We thought the Macaroni Grill was pretty close to a real, stand alone Macaroni Grill. A nice change from regular airport food!

Are you doing ME? If so, I would suggest waiting to get your food at the airport. Since they take you 3 hours before your flight, having a meal there will give you something to do.

The problem is some of these restaurants are before security and some are after. We wanted to eat at chilis but there was a really long line for security so we wanted to make sure we had enough time to get through it before we ate. Once we were through we got stuck eating at burger king.

It dawned on me after I made my post that we usually fly Delta but our next visit will be on Southwest. Which of the places on the list will be close to the SW gates?

Here's a link to all the shops and restaurants at MCO.

The Grove -natural snacks

Coco Oasis - bar
