OT -- Flushed Away or Happy Feet

I'd like to take my daughter to a movie either tomorrow or the next day. She is not quite four. Just wondering which movie might be best for this age group. This will be only our second movie in an actual theater, so I want to keep it friendly (not too many scary parts). TIA

I haven't seen Happy Feet - Sorry. But, I did see Flushed Away and I took my almost 3.5 year old for her second movie. She loved it! She sat (on my lap) for the entire movie and laughed at the right parts and is still talking about it. Hope that helps.

My 4.5 yo loved Flushed Away, sat for the entire thing. Happy feet he wanted to go in the middle of it. FWIW I enjoyed Flushed Away better myself.

Just a word of warning on the Flushed Away movie. My sister's daycare provider took her daughter to see this, and she started having wetting accidents after being toilet trained for months.

Apparently this little one was scared because of all the "things" living in the toilet. I haven't seen it myself, but I guess I could understand her concern.

I took my 10 year old son to see Happy Feet. He liked it, but was a little bored during the singing scenes (there are a lot)

We went to Happy Feet over Thanksgiving weekend with 4 kids...two 4 year olds, my 5 and 8 year olds...and we all HATED it!!! For the little ones there were several scenes that were scarier than they needed to be. For the older one I was a bit uncomfortable with all of the "sexy" dancing and singing the penguins do to attract a mate...and all of the adults were wondering how this thinly disguised statement about overfishing and humans' effect on the environment ever was made into a kids movie (and we are all fairly environmentally conscious). Did I say we hated it?! Okay...I'll get off my soapbox and mention that our theaters are currently showing Polar Express each morning until Christmas and that would get my vote in a second for a little one over the other two choices!

I liked Happy Feet, but there are some scenes that were surprisingly scary. some penguins are threatened by a large, toothy sea lion who almost eats them. Some other ones are chased by orcas. Another is nearly choked to death by a six-pack holder. The leader of the penguins is a bit scary, making his proclamations in a stern, loud voice. My kids couldn't have cared less about all the PC mumbo-jumbo. they loved the singing and dancing.

My 4 year old saw both movies with DH. He liked them both and loves playing with his Happy Feet toys. We are going to try to go to another movie tomorrow. He picked Flushed Away, even though I was trying to convince him to go to Happy Feet because it's at the IMAX. He has commented on the scary sea lions in it.

Oh wow! I wish a theater near us was showing Polar Express. We have it on DVD but there are several scenes in Polar Express that seeing it on the BIG screen makes all the difference!

Definitely Flushed Away over Happy Feet...My 3.5 year old DS loved FA, but was kind of bored by HF...He still behaved okay (going to a movie is about the only time he sits still, LOL) he just got restless. Plus, in HF there are a few scenes that are kind of scary.

Wow! Thanks for all the great responses. I think I will take her to see Flushed Away. She's been potty trained since about 2.5, so hopefully the toilet won't scare her.
