Okay so a microscopic amount is okay but a gallon isn't??? Huh!
Yes! The radiation in an x-ray is okay. A million times that amount will kill you.
A vitamin C tablet is okay. One hundred can make you really sick.
The amount of caffeine in one cup of coffee is okay. The amount of caffeine in 100 caffeine pills can cause a heart attack.
I vaccinate my kids. My Mom lost her baby brother when he was 4 to polio.
Side note: One problem I do have with Gardasil. The commercial continuously says "the cervical cancer vaccine" That is NOT TRUE. It is an HPV vaccine. You can still get cervical cancer without being infected with HPV. Everytime I hear that commercial, it irritates me to no end. Tell people they are vaccinated against cervical cancer and they will get lazy with their Pap smears. Ugh. Maybe it is because I work in healthcare and so often it is emphasized that things MUST be clear to patients, but it seems unethical to me for them to say that.
As far as a conspiracy theory website that was mentioned back a few posts, someone asked why those websites are there if they are not true. I recently came across a very professional looking website, which obviously took hours to lay out. It had many pictures and whatnot. The topic? It was all about how the Denver Airport is a hub for the Queen of England and the Masons to join with Nazis and aliens to take over America. This is based on symbols at the airport, one of which is supposedly a "keypad" to the underground weapons area. The keypad has raised dots in symbols on it!! I saw the picture. It is braille for the sign it is on. heehee
I appreciate the sites mentioned may be reputable. But please keep in mind, not everything on the net is true. And check the source of "studies." My husband once told me about some product for ED that was endorsed by the "Association for Sexual Problems and Issues." It is not a recognized research or testing facility. Seriously, I could start the "Association for Vaccines in Children" tomorrow and post a study on the net that no children in my study ever had ill effects from vaccines. Granted, I have only studied my four kids, but I COULD post that on a website.
No matter what you think you want to do, research it, check sources and like I said, please don't believe everything you read on the internet, whether it is pro-vaccine or anti-vaccine. There are people out there who have studied this extensively and have good opinions. Find THEM and then make an informed decision.
