Hi Im sooo excited I just bought tickets for me and my youngest DS to go see Disney on Ice this weekend! Ive never been to an on ice show. How do you dress? do you need to dress warm? Should we get there early do they do meet and greets? Thnks Nettii:goodvibes

Hi we just went to Disney on Ice a few weeks ago. No I do no think you have to wear anything extremely warm. We take our coats off and are fine. Just bring a large full wallet as things are not cheap and are around every corner. $10 for cotton candy but you do get mickey ears. We saw Celebration and we really enjoyed it My DD is 2 and it kept her attention the whole time.

No there are no meet and greets but I would get there a little early to get to your seats etc.

Have a great time and they do allow pictures but no video.:wizard:

We're going in about 2 weeks, but we've been many times before. You'll have a great time. Definitely expensive for souvies! snowcones were like $12 last time we went. It comes in a cute cup to keep, but really. I only spent $11 on the ticket to get in in the first place. lol. The coloring books are great souvies because they are relatively cheap and have lots of cute pages!

I agree with the full wallet. You will just need to dress in whatever is comforatable for the weather in your area. It is not cold inside, but I did take a light wight jacket for my son who gets a cilly even when we go to the store. Our last trip to Disney on Ice cost us $10 per bag of cotton candy just because it had a crown with it and of course you cant buy just the cotton candy. Be sure to eat before you go so your not as tempted to buy. On other side note, we bought some cute stuff at our local Disney store and put it in gift bags. As we left the house I whent inside to "check on something" and put the bags on the table. At the show the kids saw the souviners and wanted to buy, but I told them that I think I heard someone say some thing about Mickey sending a few kids that had been good a special surprise to there house. They could not wait to get out of there and get home to see and sure enough Mickey had come.

Thankyou for the info and the heads up on the big wallet!:rotfl:Ill make sure we eat before we leave!:goodvibes

I saw a lot of parents bring in snacks when we went. We got 1 soda and a tub of popcorn and were good. We had a great time! The show was a lot of fun and DS was over the moon with seeing all the characters, especially Tinkerbell (his first crush!).

We wore jeans and t-shirts, but took a sweatshirt just in case. DS sat on our coats so he could sit up a little higher.

We saw the show last night and loved it! No special clothing required we are in Michigan and just wore sweatshirts. We won tickets from a local radio station and were able to meet Mickey & Minnie before the show, but this was a special event only for the contest winners. I'm not sure if other areana's will provide a meet and greet pre show or not.

Oh.....and if the little ones are easily frightened, there is a Halloween portion in the first half of the show that might scare some youngsters. My DS 5 was fine but the 2ish child behind us was frightened to the point that they needed to exit during that scene.

Some prices for "stuff" - Light up spinny things $22, Pop $6, Popcorn $7, Cotton Candy w/Mickey bday style hat $12, SMALL plush $15, light up crown $16

Have a great time at the show!

Hi!
We love Disney on Ice and go every year. Just a word of warning--check the rules for your venue. We've been in two different cities and both did not allow any outside food or drink. They did search bags and many families had their snacks/drinks confiscated(and thrown in the trash!). It seemed such a waste. One venue did allow an unopened bottle of water per person, and that helped defray costs. Anyway, just a heads up. I felt bad for those who had bought snacks and then had to toss them all(it was either that or go all the way back to parking and put things in the car).
We try to eat ahead of time but do buy a popcorn and cotton candy each year for the kids to share(we have 3). We don't allow any souvenirs though--they are pricey and not of the same quality as the Disney store or WDW.
Have a great time!
Tessie
