Inspired by the lost SD card thread.

When using a new or blank SD card take a picture of an index card with your name, address and telephone number (I put home, cell and work) on it. That way if someone finds your SD card all the information will be on it to get it back to you.

Great idea! :thumbsup2 I think I'll do just that :) :thanks: :disrocks:

I just hope it may help someone some day. I can't take credit for the idea as I read it somewhere else, most likely a travel magazine article.

Heh, yes what a great idea.

In the old days when I used transparancy film (slides) they had to be sent back to Kodak for developing and all of us experienced snappers used to use the first slide as a shot of our home address and telephone number details in case the package got lost in the mail.

The one time I failed to do this was with 2 rolls of film that I used on a far east trip and I lost all my shots taken at night in Hong Kong. Well, so we went back a year later on a different far east trip so I could re create my lost shots.

I carry two SD cards and you can bet that I am now making up an address card to save as shot number 1 on each card. Great tip . Thanks

Wow - that's a great idea! I will definitely do it. Thank you for thinking of all of us here. :)

another thing I do with our digital camera is take apic of our disney tickets front and back in case we lose one, I will have numbers handy for replacement.

I also snap a pic each morning of my kids so, heaven forbid, they get lost I can have a very accurate description of them in the clothes they are currently wearing.

like the name address phone thing. nice tip!

More good suggestions - thanks kileybeth!

I'll add another: If you drive to the parks - take a pic of the area sign ("Donald 5" or however they do it) where you park, so you don't have to worry about getting mixed up when you are leaving.

This is such an awesome tip!!!!! Simple, but brilliant. My heart breaks for the poster from a while back who lost her SD card with all her precious photos on them!:sad1: I will be taking a shot of my address also. I'm sure if anyone found it and it had the info they would do the right thing.
Thanks for sharing!:yay:

These are more great tips. I'll definitely be snapping a picture of DN in the morning after I get her dressed while we're there.
