I agree with what you have said... she has done more "good" in the world than any of those 60 min guys too!! Also she makes everyone take accountability for their own actions. She apologized because she was wrong... that was a bold move on her part. I also understand that after contemplating it and hearing, reading others thoughts of how wrong she was to have defended him, I see her point. She did just choose "Night" as her next book club selection. This "shady" memoir buisness could put a giant doubt in the minds of readers that aren't fully convinced the holocaust happened. And that would be an even bigger autrocity. Yes, even I felt uncomfortable watching that show, like feeling uncomfortable when someone gets in trouble in your class and everyone has to hear it. But I applaud James Frey for showing up and taking it, taking responsibility. Besides look at all of the extra press he is getting!!!

I have seen the men on "Sixty Minutes" grill people like that for years, and no one complains. I wish Oprah was running the country, maybe there would be no more lying cheaters.
For what it's worth, Oprah is paying for a school in Africa to educate women who otherwise don't get to go to school at all.
