Hi everyone I am basically a lurker and don't often post on the boards instead I prefer to read.
However inhale seen the power of what the disboard members good thoughts and prayers can do, and I felt I just had to ask for a little help.
I live in northern Ireland in a small Coastal community between the sea and the mountains and over the last few weeks there have been hundreds of fires deliberately started on the mountain.
The problem is that we have been having an unusually large amount of sunshine and very little rain so everywhere is very dry and there has been a reasonably strong wind for the last few days which has meant that the most recent fire which was started yesterday has spread and the fire service is struggling to cope.
We are such a small community that our fire service are limited and cannot get up to the fire to completely put it out instead they are trying to contain it bit this is proving very difficult.
The firemen are doing all they can but the fire is still making it's way down the mountain towards our little community.
It is causing untold destruction to an area renowned for it's outstanding natural beauty.
I know that there is so much going on elsewhere in the world that this pales in comparison but I was hoping that if it would be at all possible for some prayers and good thoughts for those brave and hardworking firemen and also for those people that are in the danger zone who live on the mountains.
